Barbara Gabotto. Nata a Pisa, attualmente risiede a Milano. Si occupa di musica, pittura, scrittura e teatro. Ha recentemente realizzato sequenze pittoriche ispirate a testi poetici (taluni pubblicati, in plaquette con CD, da Pulcino Elefante) e a musiche.
Sue poesie e racconti sono apparsi su antologie, riviste culturali (cartacee e telematiche), quotidiani; opera anche nel campo della sperimentazione per il web con ipertesti multimediali, presenti nel sito Poemus (www.poemus.it) che cura assieme a Giacomo Guidetti.
Da circa quindici anni canta (in duo di chitarre e voce con Giacomo Guidetti) un repertorio di poesie musicate e recita talvolta su partiture. Questa attività viene svolta in ambiti diversi: teatri, biblioteche, fiere del libro (come l’annuale Invito alla Lettura di Roma), festival letterari (fra cui quelli internazionali Voix de la Mediterranée a Lodève in Francia, per la celebrazione del centenario di Cernuda a Sevilla, per la Settimana di Cultura Italiana a Banja Luka – Bosnia, Romapoesia ecc.), gallerie d’arte e musei (nel 2002 il Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea di Milano con un spettacolo di prosa, poesia e musica appositamente scritto e allestito per la mostra di Duane Hanson), TV nazionali e locali (per la RAI il duo ha musicato ed eseguito poesie di Mario Luzi, per uno Speciale TG1 dedicato al poeta) e radio (spesso in diretta) come Radio Tre, Radio Vaticana, Radio Popolare, Radio Cope in Spagna ecc. Ha pubblicato il cd+libro Poemus.
Barbara Gabotto was born in Pisa and now lives in Milan. She is active in music, painting, writing and theatre. She recently completed a sequence of paintings inspired by texts of poetry (some of theme published in plaquette with cd by Pulcino Elefante) and by musical scores.
Her poems and short stories have been published in anthologies, cultural magazines (paper and telematic), news papers; she also works in the field of experimentation for the web in Poemus (www.poemus.it) which she shares with Giacomo Guidetti.
For about fifteen years she has sung a repertoire of poems set to music in a duet of guitars and voice with Giacomo Guidetti and sometimes she plays the score.
This activity is performed in various places: theatres, libraries, book-fairs (a.g. annual “Invito alla lettura” in Roma), literary festivals (among the international festivals “Voix de la Mediterranée”in Lodève-France, in Seville for the celebration of centenary of Luis Cernuda and in Banja Luka-Bosnia for a week of Italian Culture), art galleries and museums (2002 Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea of Milan with performance of prose, poetry and music purposely written and carried out for the exhibition of Duane Hanson), local and national TV (for RAI the duo have set to music and performed some poems of Mario Luzi for Speciale TG1 dedicated to the poet) and radio, often live broadcast (Radio Tre, Radio Vaticana, Radio Popolare, Radio Cope in Spain).
She has published the cd+book Poemus.
